Microsoft provides both sale and rental options for titles on their storefront. Any customer can access the Microsoft storefront for free and make purchases. To make purchases on the storefront, users must have a Microsoft account (this can be set up for free) and a Microsoft supported device on which to watch the content.

If a customer rents a title, the customer has 14 days to start watching the title. Once the customer starts watching the title, the customer has 24 hours to finish watching the title.

If a customer purchases a title, the customer can watch the title indefinitely via the customer's Microsoft account.

Placement data for Microsoft comes from the web-store landing page.

The charting page for iTunes can be accessed by clicking on 'Best selling' in the sidebar. This is gathered for every territory, and it displays the top 200 movies for each territory:

Due to outages or unannounced changes at the retailer, there are some days where placement and charting data were not collected and we hold no records for.
