Once a client's EMA Avail is ingested into Storefront (via the Avails Import module), an Error Report is automatically generated for that Avail. The Error Report is looking at specific metadata that is provided EMA over EMA and gives an easy to navigate report to review the Errors called out by Storefront.
To access the Avails Import Error Report, users will navigate to the Avails Import Module:
Users will see all of their previously ingested EMA Avails, along with nine columns of high-level data:
- File - The file name with a link that allows the user to access the specific report
- Provider - owner that supplied the avail file
- Retailer - The platform where the content is intended to be distributed (e.g., Amazon, Google)
- Content type - The classification of the content listed in the avail file (e.g., Movie, TV Season)
- Imported - The date when the avail file was successfully uploaded and ingested.
- Error - Number of metadata Errors found in EMA
- Ok - Items unchanged from prior EMA
- Removed - Number of items removed from prior EMA
- View report - Download link to view full error report
Once there, users will navigate to the blue download icon under the “View Report” Column on the right-hand side:
Once the blue arrow is clicked, the report will download the file (.xlsx) to the user's desktop. Depending on the user's browser, it may attempt to open in view-only mode directly on the browser.
Opening the file displays a Summary tab that detail the Avail status of specific items in the Avail in Column A and the total count of each item in Column B; selecting any value in the Count column triggers a macro that opens a new worksheet with the corresponding details.
