Avails import allows users to see every provider avail file uploaded to Storefront, along with any alerts for issues with ingested avails.
The module generates a report that outlines missing metadata fields, or invalid metadata that will not be accepted on the platform.
The default view within the Avails Import module displays key import status information, including:
- File: The file name with a link that allows the user to access the specific report
- Provider: owner that supplied the avail file
- Retailer: The platform where the content is intended to be distributed (e.g., Amazon, Google).
- Content type: The classification of the content listed in the avail file (e.g., Movie, TV Season
- Imported : The date when the avail file was successfully uploaded and ingested.
- Error: Number of metadata Errors found in EMA
- Ok: Items unchanged from prior EMA
- Removed: Number of items removed from prior EMA
- View report: Download link to view full error report
This view is essential to ensure users are importing the most accurate and complete data before utilizing that data in Storefront's modules.
Users can apply filters using the filtering tools located at the top of the Avails Import reports to narrow down the displayed results. This functionality allows for easier navigation and review of specific files based on relevant criteria.
Filter Options:
- File – Filter by the specific file name.
- Provider – Filter by the content provider associated with the avail file.
- Retailer – Filter by the retailer or platform the avail is intended for.
- Imported – Filter by date of ingest.
NOTE: Provider avails are most commonly uploaded via SFTP (secure file transfer protocol) however, Storefront also offers flexibility regarding transfer methods and file types if needed.
