Top Titles, otherwise known as Studio titles, are auto generated by Storefront's system based on retailer metadata, retailer activity, and year of release.
With Storefront, clients can also add or remove which titles are considered to be a Top Title through the user interface.
Instructions
To manage Top Titles, users must first navigate to the Exceptions module via the Home Page:
Once clicked a new page will load, users will then navigate to the blue “Top Titles” section on the upper right-hand side:
Once clicked, a new page will load. The page will outline a client's current set of Top Titles that Storefront auto generated.
This page will also outline the following in the table:
- Title's name along with the corresponding release year in parentheses.
- The Provider, listed as the user's organization.
- The Master ID for the title on retail platform.
- The title's run time in HH:MM:SS.
- How it was added into the Provider's Top Titles, whether manually or automated.
- and an IMDB link that references the title.
If a user wants to add or remove Titles from the Top Titles lists, an admin user must navigate to the blue “edit” link in the upper right-hand corner:
Once clicked, a new page will load. This page will outline a client “Available Titles” and “Top Titles.”
The “Available Titles” box represents the Studios titles across all retailers that are provided via an EMA Avail. The “Top Titles” box represents what titles Storefront is currently considering as a “Top Title”.
Admin users will have the ability to add Titles from “Available Titles” to “Top Titles” by using the navigation bar in the middle of the two boxes:
Users can either move all titles by clicking the “>>”/“<<” buttons which moves the titles too or from Top Titles. Users may also select specific titles from either box and move them into the other window.
If the user does not immediately see their title, they can search for it in the “Available titles” window. As the user types, it will display the relevant titles.
“Generated top titles”, on the far right, represents a pre-selected 100 titles gathered by the system based on various pieces of data that considers the title's popularity and availability. New releases are automatically considered as a Top Title.
If a user wishes to add a new Top Title, their list supersedes the generated list. (e.g., if the user and their organization selects 20 Top titles, those titles will replace the lowest ranking Top titles in the Generated Top Titles list. Supplanting them into the Generated Top Titles list.)
