How to Manage Groups

In Storefront, Groups are utilized by teams involved in a particular objective for business/team needs. Groups can be used to assign to specific functions in Storefront so they might accomplish specific workflows.

In this article, we will cover:

The users can find the 'Groups' by clicking on Settings in the dropdown under their name at the top-right part of the Storefront Homepage.

Then the user would need to click on the 'Groups' tab under their organization name.

Here the user finds the Groups screen with various columns containing information such as Name (group name), Members (member count), Created (date of group creation), Updated (last edited date).

Adding a Group

The users need to follow the below steps to add a new group to the organization:

  1. Here, the user can add a new group by clicking on the green-colored 'Add group' button.Groups 5.jpg
  2. This would take the user to a page where they need to fill up details such as the 'Group Name' and 'Members' being added to the group. Groups 4.png
    • Group Name - The user must name the group appropriately. It should not conflict with other group names and should represent the purpose of the group.
    • Members - This field should contain all those users in the same organization who would be involved in the group.

  4. The group's data will then be saved and shown with a green pop-up on the screen.Groups 7.png

Once completed, the newly-created group will be visible along with detailing the amount of members, when it was created, and when it was last updated.

Modifying a Group

At the end of each row, a user may click the three dots button towards the last column. Once clicked, they will have two options:Groups 9.png

  • Edit - If a user decides to modify the group; changing the name or adding users.
  • Delete - If the user wishes to delete a specific group.

Filtering Groups

Users can also filter out or search for a particular group using keywords such as the Group Name or the Members who are part of the group.
