Storefront allows users to Add new titles to our database for potential delivery into a retailer's platform. The following process outlines the process for users to Add a new title, in case our system isn't already receiving the title from platform.
Please note, this process requires consideration for the data entered. Please refer to your SOP documentation on providing information for titles before proceeding, as providing invalid information may cause delivery errors.
Instructions
- To add a new vendor ID to the tool's database, click “Add New Title” in the Ungrouped titles field while in the Create Updates (1.0) module:
Please Note: Add New Title option will pop up only when the UI doesn't recognize Retailer ID or VID the user is searching in the database. - From here, the user should begin to enter the new Title's data.
- Beginning with the “Name”, the user should provide the title that aligns with the Vendor and Retailer title.
- Users should then select various options under drop-down for “Content type” :
- Movie
- Movie Bundle
- TV Series
- TV Season
- TV Episode
- For the Provider, the user's only option is to select their own organization.
- Similarly, at this time, users may only select iTunes as Retailer
Please Note: If the user's organization wishes to establish other retailers, this must be discussed further with our internal teams prior to onboarding. Storefront would be happy to accommodate other retail platforms. - From here, the required fields may be added, but if the user wants to ensure Storefront can correlate the data and push to the retailer's platform, they should supply either the Vendor ID or the Retailer ID. The Retailer ID and Vendor ID are not the same ID.
Providing the same ID into both fields may cause errors. Please confirm the correct IDs before concluding the Add New Title process.
- Once all the required details are added, click on “Add” button.
