Welcome To Exception Reports

  • Updated

Exceptions are a delta between what a client provides in their EMA, also known as "Avail" for a retailer, compared against store data that is scraped daily by Storefront.

What is an EMA?

EMA is an abbreviation for the "Entertainment Merchants Association", supporting several industry workgroups for recommended asset structures and schemas for the entertainment industry. They are commonly used specifically to reference dedicated asset structures and data types.

For Storefront, an EMA represents the initial set of clearances, price tiers, to set up a territory for a specific retailer/platform. Another name for an EMA is an "Avail".

Storefront uses the client's EMA as the source of truth and will provide any discrepancies via an easy-to-use report, so clients can take action and resolve exceptions. To learn more about Exceptions Types, click here.

Within Storefront, there is an Exceptions Module within Reports that allows users to create and customize their Exception Reports.

They will have the ability to select which retailer, territory, offer type, and cadence for the report to be created. For more information on how to manage or create exception reports, click here
