Overview
Market Data is a report that compiles key performance indicators from digital storefronts into an easy-to-navigate format. The report allows users to review retailer performance, title visibility, pricing, competitor activity, and new release information.
What Market Data Reports Include
Market Data Reports may include:
- Charting Data
- Placement Data
- Price comparison data
- Average studio pricing across digital storefronts and retailers
- Competitor Top Titles information
- New Releases by calendar year
- New Releases by the date added to a retailer platform
Charting Data
Charting Data identifies whether a title appears on a retailer's Top Titles list. This information is based on how titles are arranged on the retailer's charting page.
Within Market Data Reports, Charting Data is organized by:
- Studio
- Territory
- Retailer
Placement Data
Placement Data is pulled directly from a retailer platform and identifies where a title appears within the retailer's user interface, including placement on the retailer's home page.
Placement Data is available in the Summary tab of the Market Data Report. Reports are provided in Excel and allow users to review the data using pivot tables.
The report displays the number of studio titles that are placing on a retailer's page. To view the individual titles represented by the data, select a cell in the report. A new worksheet will open and display the underlying title information.
Pricing Data
Market Data Reports include price comparison information and average studio pricing across digital storefronts and retailers.
The report breaks down average pricing across retailer platforms for major studios, allowing users to compare pricing activity across the market.
Competitor Top Titles
Market Data Reports include filters that allow users to view competitor Top Titles across supported retailers.

- Calendar year
