Google Play provides both sale and rental options for titles on their storefront. Any customer can access the Google Play storefront for free and make purchases.

If a customer rents a title, the customer has 30 days to start watching the title. Once the customer starts watching the title, the customer has a set window of time to finish watching the title. This window varies by title.

If a customer purchases a title, the customer can watch the title indefinitely via the customer's Google Play account.

Placement data for Google Play comes from the movie and TV landing page.

To view the Google Play storefront, click here.

The charting page for Google Play can be accessed from the 'Most popular movies' category. This is gathered for every territory, and it displays the top 100 movies for each territory:

Due to outages or unannounced changes at the retailer, there are some days where placement and charting data were not collected and we hold no records for.

Dates that have been identified to be missing from the Placement module for Google are:

  • 5/05/2018
  • 9/15/2018
  • 9/26/2018
  • 11/10/2018
