Throughout STOREFRONT users will encounter an ID called EIDR. This is an acronym for The Entertainment Identifier Registry Association.

EIDR is a nonprofit organization that allows anyone to register movie or television assets with one standard ID number across the industry. This plays a crucial role in increasing supply chain efficiency for everyone encountering assets.

EIDR IDs are utilized in title pages and list views throughout STOREFRONT, to ensure title identification

Additionally, EIDR utilizes STOREFRONT'S ID deduplication process in the review module. This tool further ensures clear identification of titles by removing duplicated IDs in EIDR's system.

Throughout STOREFRONT you'll see two EIDR IDs:

EIDR 1 - This is the master title ID. All cuts or versions of a title will be listed under this master ID.

EIDR 2 - This is the title version ID. For example, if a master title has a director's cut, that version will have an EIDR 2 ID.
